Make sure to include your targeted keywords on your pages. Use your keywords in the text on your web pages, especially your homepage. This will improve search engine rankings by raising your keyword density.

When naming pages, it is wise to make them search engine friendly and packed with keywords or keyword phrases. For instance, if you have a website that sells football equipment, don’t just name a page equipment.html, name the page football-equipment.html, football-shoulder-pags.html, etc

Building keywords into your pages and page titles will increase your search engine ranking and provide good keyword coverage.

Look at competitors keywords

Checking your competition is a MUST when you plan, design and promote your website. If their website is doing well on search engine rankings, strong keywords could be a big reason (although not the only reason) why.

Check out the keywords and see what keywords you can offer that could possibly be better. For instance, if you competitor uses keyword ‘Mustang parts’ maybe you will want to use ‘Ford Mustang parts’ to capture both ‘mustang’ and ‘ford’ keyword phrases.

Bring credibility to your site

You can bring credibility to your website by partnering with leading affiliates, companies, etc. For instance, consider joining the Better Business Bureau, Truste, etc. When approved for these programs, you will be able to post their banner or logo and this will greatly increase customer confidence in your website.
